What This Is and How to Install It

Source: github.com/unifapi-agent/agents (MIT licence, 482 stars, 62 watchers, 102 forks)

Open-source marketing agents for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes, and any MCP client. Install one plugin and your assistant runs SEO audits, generative engine optimisation (GEO) and AI-visibility checks, local SEO, KOL pricing, social listening, competitive intelligence, and industry-specific marketing, all from live public data.

Each agent is a folder of SKILL.md files sitting over UnifAPI's public-data APIs. The core design principle is stated plainly in the README: read-only, eyes not hands. These agents research and price. They never post, message, or take any write action on your behalf.

23 skills total, organised into 3 tiers: 9 role agents (functional jobs like SEO, AI visibility, competitive intelligence), 6 vertical agents (industry-specific bundles for real estate, med spas, dental, law firms, restaurants, home services), and 8 platform agents (one per social/data platform: X, LinkedIn, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Hacker News, Threads).

Install: one plugin gives you skills and live data together

One install gives your agent both the marketing-agent skills and the public-data MCP server. No manual server config, no API key to paste. Sign in once with OAuth (new workspaces get free trial credits). Everything is read-only.

Claude Code, Claude Desktop, OpenClaw (recommended, Claude-compatible plugin):

/plugin marketplace add unifapi-agent/agents
/plugin install unifapi@unifapi

Hermes:

hermes plugins install unifapi-agent/agents

Codex: this repo ships a .codex-plugin/plugin.json (the same skills and the OAuth MCP server), so one install gives you both. To wire it up manually instead:

# Add to ~/.codex/config.toml
[mcp_servers.unifapi]
url = "https://mcp.unifapi.com"

# Then run
codex mcp login unifapi

ChatGPT (Developer Mode, Plus/Pro/Team/Enterprise): Settings > Connectors > Advanced > enable Developer Mode > Create, set the MCP server URL to https://mcp.unifapi.com with OAuth.

Any other agent-skills client:

npx skills add unifapi-agent/agents
# then add https://mcp.unifapi.com as an MCP server for live data

What to ask once installed

After installing, sign in when prompted, then ask your assistant directly. Real examples from the README:

Audit example.com for "unified api" and "public data api": pull our live organic and
AI-answer positions, the competing pages, and a prioritized fix list, cite every finding.

No slash commands to memorise. The right skill activates automatically based on the task described.

Section 2

The 9 Role Agents

The 9 functional agents, each owning a specific marketing job. This is the layer most GTM and marketing teams will use day to day.

SEO, AI Visibility, and Local SEO Agents

SEO Agent: track rankings, audit SERPs, and research keywords, competitors, and backlinks as live records inside your assistant.

AI Visibility Agent: measure whether your brand and domain get cited in AI answers across ChatGPT and AI search, and where competitors win the answer instead.

Local SEO Agent: audit local-pack rankings, map listings, and review presence for one location or hundreds.

Influencer, Content, and Listening Agents

Influencer Marketing Agent: find, vet, and price creators across X, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram from public engagement evidence.

Content Strategy Agent: turn public demand (keywords, Reddit threads, YouTube, news) into a content plan backed by evidence.

Social Listening Agent: monitor public mentions across X, Reddit, TikTok, and news, and get a brief when something meaningfully changes.

Sales-Adjacent Agents

Social Selling Agent: spot buying signals and warm openings across X and LinkedIn, then prep evidence-backed outreach. Note this agent preps outreach, it does not send it, consistent with the read-only design across the whole repo.

Competitive Intelligence Agent: track what competitors ship and say across X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, and news, and explain what changed.

Lead & Company Research Agent: build B2B account and company briefs from public LinkedIn and news signals.

Section 3

The 6 Vertical Agents

Industry-specific bundles combining local SEO, reputation, and content skills for six verticals with strong local search and review dependence.

The 6 verticals

Real Estate Marketing Agent: local visibility, listing presence, content, and AI-answer citations for brokerages and agents.

Med Spa Marketing Agent: local rankings, treatment-content demand, reviews, and AI visibility for med spas and aesthetics clinics.

Dental Marketing Agent: local rankings, patient-question content, reviews, and AI visibility for dental practices.

Law Firm Marketing Agent: local rankings, practice-area content, reputation, and AI visibility for law firms and attorneys.

Restaurant Marketing Agent: local rankings, social buzz, reviews, and AI visibility for restaurants and hospitality.

Home Services Marketing Agent: local rankings, service-area content, reviews, and AI visibility for home services and contractors.

Each vertical agent is built from the same underlying skill pattern: a reputation benchmark against nearby competitors, plus a demand or content mapping skill specific to that industry's search behaviour.

Section 4

The 8 Platform Agents

One agent per platform, each giving a deterministic guide to reading public data from that platform through UnifAPI.

All 8 platform agents

X (Twitter) Agent: research public X/Twitter profiles, posts, communities, and trends, read-only, inside your assistant.

LinkedIn Agent: research public LinkedIn companies, people, jobs, and posts for B2B, read-only.

Reddit Agent: research public subreddits, threads, and community language, read-only.

TikTok Agent: research public TikTok creators, videos, hashtags, and trends, read-only.

YouTube Agent: research public YouTube channels, videos, and trends, read-only.

Instagram Agent: research public Instagram profiles, posts, reels, and comments, read-only.

Hacker News Agent: research public Hacker News launches, threads, and sentiment, read-only.

Threads Agent: research public Threads posts, profiles, and conversation, read-only.

These 8 platform agents are the data layer the 9 role agents draw from. The Social Listening Agent, for example, pulls from the X, Reddit, and TikTok platform agents underneath.

Section 5

All 23 Skills: The Full Breakdown by Agent

All 23 skills from the README table, organised by agent. Each skill sits inside a specific agent folder and calls UnifAPI's public-data APIs underneath.

Enhanced skills (23 total, by agent)

SEO Agent (3): seo-audit (audits crawlability, on-page, and content against live SERP and ranking evidence), keyword-research (turns a seed list into ranked keyword opportunities and competitor gaps from live SERP and volume data), schema (advice-type skill for choosing and implementing schema.org types with valid JSON-LD).

AI Visibility Agent (3): ai-visibility-audit (the GEO equivalent of an SEO audit, checks whether you are cited in AI answers and who owns the answer instead), llm-mention-tracking (tracks how often you are mentioned across ChatGPT and AI search over a fixed prompt set, and how share of voice moves vs competitors), ai-answer-gap (finds the prompts you should own in AI answers but do not, names who owns each, ranks the gaps by AI search volume).

Local SEO Agent (3): local-pack-audit (pulls the live local pack/map results for a business's queries and reports exactly where it ranks vs competitors), listing-accuracy-audit (reads a business's public map/local listing and flags where details are inconsistent, incomplete, or wrong), local-competitor-scan (maps the competitors ranking ahead in the local pack and surfaces what they have that you lack, in concrete numbers).

Influencer Marketing Agent (3): kol-pricing (estimates Twitter/X KOL rates from public engagement, audience fit, and risk), creator-shortlist (finds creators by niche, audience language, recent momentum, and platform fit), audience-fit-check (vets a single creator's audience fit and brand-safety from public posts and engagement before outreach).

Content Strategy Agent (3): content-opportunity-brief (finds repeated questions and formats across YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, and X), content-strategy (turns real public demand into content pillars, a topic-cluster map, and a sequenced calendar, each topic backed by evidence), customer-research (mines authentic customer language, pains, and objections from public communities to inform messaging and content).

Social Listening Agent (2): social-listening-brief (tracks public mentions and returns a concise brief instead of a dashboard), reddit-community-research (maps subreddits, recurring questions, objections, and language for a niche).

Social Selling Agent (1): buying-signal-monitor (watches public X and LinkedIn for buying intent and returns warm leads, each anchored to the post that proves it).

Lead & Company Research Agent (2): linkedin-account-research (uses public company, post, job, and profile signals for B2B research), account-news-signals (pulls recent public news for a target account and converts each event into a dated, sourced outreach hook).

Competitive Intelligence Agent (2): competitor-launch-monitor (collects public launch signals and turns them into a competitive brief), competitor-profiling (turns a competitor's public footprint into a structured, source-cited profile covering positioning, product, pricing, and implications).

Enhanced skills, vertical agents (12 total, 2 per vertical)

Real Estate: neighborhood-guide-opportunity (finds neighbourhood-level search and content opportunities agents can own where Zillow and the portals are weak), agent-reputation-benchmark (benchmarks an agent's public reviews and local-pack presence against the nearest competitors for realtor queries).

Med Spa: med-spa-reputation-benchmark (compares a clinic's review count, rating, and velocity against the nearest competitors, described in the README as the number one med-spa local lever), treatment-demand-radar (maps treatment search demand and social trends to a clinic's service menu and content plan).

Dental: dental-reputation-benchmark (benchmarks a practice's reviews, rating, and velocity against nearby practices to explain the map-pack gap), patient-question-content (mines the real questions patients ask about a practice's services and ranks them into a content plan).

Law Firm: practice-area-rank-audit (audits a firm's rank for every practice-area plus city query and flags where thin content is the reason it is losing), attorney-reputation-benchmark (benchmarks a firm's public reviews and local-pack presence against competing firms and quantifies the gap).

Restaurant: restaurant-local-buzz (audits a venue's local-pack rank, review themes, and recent TikTok buzz for its cuisine and category), menu-demand-radar (maps demand for a venue's cuisine and dishes across local search, AI answers, and TikTok to prioritise content and promos).

Home Services: service-area-rank-audit (audits local-pack rank for a trade's service plus location queries across every city and ZIP it serves), homeowner-question-content (mines the real problem and cost questions homeowners ask about a trade's services and ranks them into a content plan).

Data skills (8 total, one per platform)

These are marked as "data" type skills rather than "enhanced" in the README table. Each is the deterministic guide to reading that platform's public data through UnifAPI: x-twitter (profiles, posts, engagement, followers, search, trends), linkedin (companies, people, jobs, posts, member insights), reddit (subreddits, threads, comments, users, trending searches), tiktok (creators, videos, comments, hashtags, music, search), youtube (channels, videos, related content, search, trending), instagram (profiles, posts, reels, comments, locations, search), hacker-news (story feeds, items, comment trees, users), threads (recent and top post search, profiles, replies).

Section 6

Design Principle: Eyes, Not Hands

The design principle stated directly in the README, and why it matters for how you use this in a GTM workflow.

Eyes, not hands

Every agent in this repo researches and prices. None of them post, message, send, or write anything on your behalf. This is stated explicitly in the README's opening description: read-only, eyes not hands.

The practical implication for a GTM workflow: this repo is the research and intelligence layer, not the execution layer. The Social Selling Agent finds the buying signal and preps evidence-backed outreach. It does not send the outreach. The Lead & Company Research Agent builds the account brief. It does not log into your CRM to update it.

This makes it a natural pairing with execution-focused tools: pull the research and signal detection from UnifAPI's agents, then hand the actual sending, sequencing, or publishing off to whichever tool in your stack is built for that job.

Licence and attribution

MIT licence. Skills adapted from other open-source projects keep their original attribution in the SKILL.md frontmatter and a credit in the skill's README, per the repo's own licensing note.

What this is not

Not an outreach automation tool. It preps evidence, it does not send messages.

Not a posting or publishing tool. It researches content opportunities, it does not publish content.

Not a CRM. It builds account briefs and research, it does not log or update records anywhere.

For GTM teams: pair this with whatever tool in your stack handles the actual sending, sequencing, or publishing. UnifAPI's agents are the research and signal layer that feeds that tool with evidence-backed input.
